Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz). It is a quick procedure with few to no adverse effects. Removing epidermal skin also allows products to penetrate more readily into the deeper layers. There is no downtime associated with this procedure. Dermaplaning can be done as often as every two weeks, although it is usually done when vellus hair starts to grow back, which is generally in about a month.

This service is done using a sterile surgical blade. Some of the possible side effects include but are not limited to : skin tightness, mild to moderate redness, mild flaking and possible nicks. It removes most, not all vellus (peach fuzz) hair. Dermaplaning is is a cosmetic treatment and no medical claims are expressed or implied.. No direct sunlight, including tanning beds should be used while under going a series of this treatment. SUNBLOCK IS A MUST! Any facial injections should be avoided at least 10 days before. DO NOT use Retin-A for at least 3 days prior and after dermaplaning. Exercise after a treatment is not advised. Results vary due to age, conditions of the skin, sun damage, climate, etc.
